City Council Approves Phase 2 Of Upgrades To Catfish Creek Sewer System

Dubuque Historic Federal Building

Last night, the Dubuque City Council has unanimously approved moving forward with the $14-point-six million dollar Phase Two of upgrades to the Catfish Creek sanitary sewer system.

The project at the Old Mill Road Lift Station and Force Main project will take sewage from the branches of the Catfish Creek sewer shed and pump it to the city’s Water Resource & Recovery Center.

The project will go out to bid and will be primarily constructed in 2026.

It’s estimated the projects to improve sewer capacity will be raising Dubuque residents average monthly sanitary sewer bills by nearly 5 dollars per month.
