In a note for Dubuque motorists, the second phase of the Iowa DOT US 61/151 Peosta Channel Bridge Deck Overlay project will begin on Monday. Crews will be improving the surface of the bridge over the Peosta Channel north of 16th Street.
The project will require the closure of the southbound lanes from the Wisconsin Bridge exit to the 9th/11th street interchange. The DOT expects the bridge replacement project to be finished this August.
In another note for motorists, the Dubuque County Road Department says starting Monday, milling then paving of Old Highway Road from the west side bridge on Old Highway Road to Sundown Road will begin. Traffic will be restricted to one lane with flaggers and pilot cars for about 4 to 6 weeks, depending on weather.
