A Galena man was arrested yesterday evening after being on the run for over 24 hours. The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says they first attempted to arrest 53-year old Enrique O’ Silva on Wednesday morning around 11:30 at his home on Settlers Lane in Galena on two outstanding warrants related to a domestic incident. Silva was able get away on foot.
Authorities say around 6:30 last night they received a tip from a clerk at the Eagle Ridge Country Store in the Galena Territories that Silva was there. Several deputies went to the store, Silva again ran away, but this time didn’t get far as he was arrested without incident for two outstanding warrants, and charged with Resisting Arrest and Possession of Firearm without a Valid Firearm Owners ID Card.
