The Dubuque Community School Board has awarded a bid for the playground replacement project planned for Marshall Elementary School.
The week, the board awarded the contract to Matt Construction of Sumner, Iowa for a cost of $393-thousand dollars. The project will include replacing playground equipment, fencing and sidewalks at Marshall, along with the installation of a rubber mulch surface beneath the new equipment. The new playground should be ready to go by the start of the next school year after the work begins this summer.
