A Dubuque man has been charged with more than 20 sex crimes after police say he was in a sexual relationship with a minor.
31-year old Fabian Swank was arrested by Dubuque Police on Friday.
Police say they began their investigation after a School Resource Officer met with an Assistant Principal at Washington Middle School told them of concerns one of their students was being groomed or in an inappropriate relationship. The concerns came up after a teacher noticed emails Swank and the student were sending back and forth on a school-issued laptop.
Authorities say Swank admitted to having a sexual relationship with the student during an interview with police. He is being held without bond at the Dubuque County Jail, a Preliminary Hearing for Swank is scheduled for February 25th.
