A Wisconsin man has been charged with enticing a minor after an investigation showed he was sending explicit text messages to someone he thought was a 15-year old girl in Dubuque.
50-year old Michael Mullahey of Kieler was arrested by Dubuque Police on Wednesday following an investigation that started in August.
Police say the investigation started when they were contacted by a man who had created a fake account to try and find child predators using social media accounts. The man showed police vulgar messages he was receiving and cell phone records identified the message from a phone owned by Mullahey. The investigating officer then used the man’s phone to text Mullahey and he responded to the message.
