The Field of Dreams in Dyersville is hosting a grand slam concert event this summer featuring country music superstar Tim McGraw.
The three time Grammy winner McGraw will headline the concert on Saturday, August 30th closing out an event to include a number of additional acts to be announced.
Organizers say not only will the event be a celebration of music but also of history, family, and the spirit of baseball. The event will also pay tribute to former Major League pitcher Tug McGraw, Tim McGraw’s father, on what would have been his 81st birthday. Tug McGraw died in 2004 after a battle with brain cancer. He was a two-time all-star during his career and played in two World Series with Philadelphia.
Tickets will be available through StubHub in a variety of ticket options. Pre-sales for the event will begin this Monday, with general sales launching on Friday, January 24th.
