Gov. Reynolds Announces more than $10 Million to Support Opioid Prevention, Treatment and Recovery

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has announced opioid treatment and recovery providers in Dubuque and seven other Iowa communities have been awarded a total of more than $10 million dollars in grants to expand or improve facilities or develop sober-living housing options in a statewide effort to better serve Iowans impacted by the ongoing opioid epidemic. Gov. The Area Substance Abuse Council, Incorporated of Dubuque is the agency receiving around $436-thousand dollars of the funding. The money will be used for renovation of their facilities to improve access and services.

The grants leverage federal American Rescue Plan Act funds and are administered by the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the Iowa Finance Authority.
