A Dubuque woman formerly of Cassville has been sentenced to jail time following a guilty plea to charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.
Last week in Grant County Circuit Court, 34-year old Erin Ruberg was given a jail sentence of six years in prison
Ruberg was charged following a traffic accident in June of 2023 near Cassville on Highway 81. The driver of the other vehicle 52-year old Gerald Duckett of Cassville died in the crash.
Authorities say Ruberg pulled out from a stop sign into the path of the other vehicle and during the investigation she was determined to be driving while impaired and was arrested.
