Central And White Corridor Plans Moving Forward

Dubuque Historic Federal Building

The City of Dubuque will move on to the next step of potentially improving traffic flow in the Central Avenue and White Street corridors after a unanimous vote by the City Council last night.   The vote approved one of the four alternatives proposed by the engineering firm Bolton and Mink and was the top choice of those who responded to recent public input surveys.

Jennifer McCoy, senior traffic engineer with Bolton and Mink discussed the highest priorities which were produced from surveys.

McCoy laid out what the preferred alternative include.

The next step in the process will include fine tuning the design and exploring budgeting for the proposed changes to the Central and White corridors.
