A Dubuque manufacturer has received more than $250-thousand dollars in tax benefits for a planned expansion in Dubuque’s Industrial Center West.

Universal Tank and Fabrication says the funds are coming from the Iowa Economic Development Authority’s High Quality Jobs program.

The company plans to invest around four million dollars to build a new 28-thousand square foot building and add 15 high quality jobs.

Construction of the expansion is tentatively scheduled for next spring, with a completion date by January 2026.

Monday night, the Dubuque City Council is scheduled to set a public hearing date on a proposed development agreement with the city.
