Saturday Accidents In Dubuque Injure Two

Two separate vehicle accidents in Dubuque on Saturday caused injuries in each one.

Dubuque Police say the first happened around 3:15 in the afternoon at the intersection of Central Avenue and East 14th Street. Police say a vehicle driven by 24-year old Laquan Edwards of Dubuque attempted to turn left on 14th Street and collided with a vehicle driven by 28-year old Damon Griffin of Marion which was traveling southbound in the left lane. Edwards’ vehicle then hit the Dubuque Bank and Trust Building on Central Avenue. Edwards suffered injury, but didn’t require medical assistance. He was cited was cited with failure to provide proof of financial liability and unsafe turn or failure to give a signal.

The second crash occurred shortly after 8 o’clock on Saturday evening at the intersection of Clarke Drive and North Grandview Avenue. Police say a vehicle driven by 35-year old Erica Paulis of Joplin, Missouri didn’t stop at the stop sign and collided with another vehicle driven by 48-year old Bridget Morgan of Dubuque. Morgan was taken to the hospital by private vehicle to be treated for injuries. Paulis was cited with failure to provide proof of financial liability, lack of a valid driver’s license and failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way.
