Cross Country
Class 4A and 3A Iowa State Meet Qualifiers were yesterday.
In the 4A qualifier at Dubuque Soccer Complex:
- Dubuque Senior girls had six of the top 11 place finisher’s in winning the meet and qualifying for state. Hempstead also will be making an 11th straight trip to state after a second place finish.
- In the boy’s race: Hempstead’s Micah Fern and Senior’s Jacob Haug and Danny Rothert earned state berths.
In Class 3A:
At Waverly: Wahlert Catholic advanced Lucy Murphy and Willa Berning in the girls field and Jayden Brookins in the boys field.
At Solon: Western Dubuque’s Quentin Nauman won meet medalist honors to advance to state.
