If you’d like to discover more about the rich history of the Dubuque area you’re invited to attend the Dubuque Area History Expo this weekend presented by the Dubuque County Historic Preservation Commission and several other sponsors.  The Expo will be Sunday from 1 to 4 at Steeple Square in downtown Dubuque which is home to the historic former home of Saint Mary’s Parish.

Organizers say the event will showcase the area’s rich heritage with presentations and a number of exhibits.  The first of two presentations will be at 2 o’clock, Uncovering Dubuque’s Black Heritage presented by Assistant City Planner Chris Happ Olson. The second will be at 3 o’clock, A City At Work, 1912-to-2012, by artist Tim Olson.

The Dubuque Area History Expo is free to attend. For more information.
