Cross Country
Senior, Hempstead, Wahlert and Western Dubuque boys and girls squads at the 15 school Mississippi Valley Conference Super Meet at Seminole Valley Park in Cedar Rapids:
Boys Race
- Senior 5th 149, Hempstead 9th 207, Western Dubuque 10th 271, Wahlert was 11th with 332. Cedar Falls won the title with 83. Quentin Nauman of W.D. placed 2nd in the medalist race for the best area finish.
Girls Race
- Senior won their second straight title scoring 34 points, Hempstead placed 5th with 98 points, Dubuque Wahlert (210) was eighth, Western Dubuque (319) took 12th as a team. Senior’s Emma Chesterman was the highest area individual finisher placing 3rd.
