One person is dead and two others were injured following a crash involving a John Deere tractor and semi-truck on U.S. 61 in Jackson County which was temporarily closed to traffic for several hours following the crash.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened around 7:30 last night near the intersection with 196th Street.
The names of those involved in the accident are being withheld until family members are notified. One of the persons injured had to be airlifted to University Hospital in Iowa City, the other was taken by ambulance to Finley Hospital in Dubuque.
