A Dubuque man was arrested after leading officers on a chase through town. 
Dubuque Police say the chase started shortly before 2 Saturday morning when an officer noticed a vehicle driven by 30-year old Alan Smith going over 70 miles per hour on Loras Boulevard in front of Loras College. Authorities say Smith then turned north on North Grandview Avenue and began weaving through neighborhoods. Police were eventually able to catch up with him in the 2000 block of Kennedy Road where they were able to box him in and stop the vehicle.
Smith is charged with eluding police.
