Minnesota Man Convicted For Distributing Drugs In Dubuque

A Minnesota man faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years in federal prison and a possible life sentence after being convicted in federal court for distributing cocaine in Dubuque.

This week, 38-year old Michael Knight was found guilty on one count of conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine within 1,000 feet of multiple parks and schools in Dubuque.

Knight also pleaded guilty to charges related to him personally giving a woman cocaine in February of 2021. That woman went home, used the cocaine and died.

Knight also faces up to a $6 million fine and “up to life” supervised release following any imprisonment

A sentencing date has not yet been set.
