One person has died after being run over by a car in Jackson County. The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened shortly before 11:30 yesterday morning in Preston. According to authorities, the person was hit by the car which was leaving the parking lot of the Country Store Gas Station on East White Street.
The name of the victim is being is being withheld until family are notified.
The accident remains under investigation.
