KIELER, Wis. ─ PSSI, the leading food safety solution and sanitation provider, today announced the company’s strategic decision to open an office in Atlanta to expand its presence in the Southeast and continue to grow its customer base. Georgia is one of the largest poultry processing states in the United States and is an industrywide leader in both plants and poultry science, a natural fit for PSSI’s leading role in sanitation chemistry and innovation.
PSSI will benefit from the talented, diverse workforce in the Greater Atlanta metropolitan region, as well as the world’s most-traveled airport. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport has daily flights to more than 150 domestic destinations putting it within a two-hour flight of 80% of the U.S. population – enabling PSSI team members to travel to any of its hundreds of customers, prospective customers, and internal members with greater efficiency.
“This strategic approach is an investment in our customers, both existing and future. By expanding our footprint in the greater Atlanta metropolitan region, PSSI will be able to leverage the depth of knowledge and expertise in the region to help us exceed our growth goals and give us greater access and visibility with our customers,” said Tim Mulhere, CEO of PSSI. “We’re proud to be building an office that will support the future of sanitation. The Atlanta area will enable us to scale quickly and best serve our customers’ needs.”
PSSI’s expanded footprint in Atlanta will shift several job functions currently based in Wisconsin. The Kieler-based chemical plant will continue to operate, while some of corporate duties will be shifted to the Atlanta office. PSSI’s core values—safety, integrity and compliance and our mission to keep food safe for all will continue to drive the company forward as a compliance and food safety leader in the U.S. sanitation sector.
