An Iowa developer has interest in building two new Marriott branded hotels in the Port of Dubuque.
The Dubuque City Council has announced they will be meeting in special session tomorrow evening at 5 o’clock to set a public hearing for next month on a proposed Development Agreement between the City of Dubuque and Kinseth Hospitality Company.
Kinseth is proposing to building two hotels with a combined total of approximately 160 rooms at an investment of approximately $30-million dollars on an approximately two acre site by McGraw-Hill.
City staff have been in conversation with Kinseth for several years about the idea of bringing an additional hotel to the city, to be potentially located in the Port.
