A Delaware County home sustained minor damage during a fire. On Wednesday evening shortly before 8 o’clock, firefighters from Dyersville were called to 16-37 299th Street in Petersburg.
One of the firefighters in the area arrived separately to the home and controlled the flames with a fire extinguisher before others arrived. When others firefighters arrived they were able to control flames coming from the kitchen area. There were no injuries and damage was estimated at five thousand dollars. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
