A Dubuque woman was arrested following an incident where she allegedly beat a man with a baseball bat.
Dubuque Police say it happened Thursday morning outside of a home in the 14-hundred block of Locust Street. 36-year old Tamara Weeks is charged with willful injury causing bodily injury. According to authorities, Weeks struck a man identified as Ryan Devore in the head with a bat. Police met with Devore who was suffering from a laceration to the left side of his head.
Following an investigation Weeks was taken into custody. Weeks told police Devore showed up at her home earlier in the day and she said she told him to leave and that he refused, that’s when she grabbed the bat.
