The City of East Dubuque is considering allowing residents to operate golf carts and utility vehicles within city limits.
At the meeting this week, the East Dubuque City Council considered a new proposed ordinance but took no action. The council is likely to vote on the ordinance at their next meeting. The recommendation would call for a purchase of an annual permit at a cost of 35 dollars from the city.
The current law prohibits the operation of golf carts, all-terrain vehicles and utility vehicles on East Dubuque city streets.
