The Dubuque County Drug Task Force reports 207 pounds of prescription and non-prescription medications, along with 175 pounds of sharps were collected on Saturday during the National Drug Takeback Day Event.
In addition to the event’s collection, between October 2024 and April 2025, a total of 554 pounds of medications were collected at drop boxes located at the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center and other Dubuque County police departments.
Officials say if you missed Saturday’s event, the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office has a Prescription Drop Box in the front lobby of the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center on Iowa Street. Additional drop boxes are available at the Dyersville, Farley and Peosta Police Departments along with Asbury City Hall.
