Severe Weather Threat Monday

The National Weather Service says you will need to be weather aware on tomorrow, especially tomorrow night as a powerful storm system is expected to cause a severe weather event which appears to have the Tri-State area in the middle of the bullseye for potentially the worst of the storms if they develop.

The Storm Prediction Center has most of the listening area including Dubuque and areas northwest of Highway 151 in a Moderate Risk for Severe Weather, or level 4 of 5 Severe Risk. Damaging winds, heavy rain, large hail, and large tornadoes are all possible. Forecasters do note uncertainty remains on afternoon storm development and overall coverage of storms into early Tuesday. They say the most likely time storms will occur is tomorrow night.

Make sure you have several ways you can receive potential weather warnings tomorrow.
