Pregler Named Dubuque’s Next Chief Information Officer

The City of Dubuque has a new Chief Information Officer. Joe Pregler, who had been serving as the interim CIO has been appointed to the position by City Manager Mike Van Milligen and replaces Chris Kohlmann who is retiring after serving the City as an information technology professional for over 42 years.Photo of Joe Pregler

As C-I-O, Pregler will manage the City’s I-T department, which supports the I-T efforts and needs of other City departments. He will provide technology vision and leadership in the strategic planning and implementation of I-T infrastructure and services throughout the City organization.

Pregler has been a member of the City’s IT staff since 2001.
