A Dubuque man charged with carrying a weapon on school property has had the case dismissed in Dubuque County District Court.
39-year old John McGee faced the charges after being arrested after school hours on September 3rd at Audubon Elementary School. A Dubuque Police resource officer was called to assist in a parental custody issue and the officer noticed what turned out to be an unloaded handgun under McGee’s shirt tucked into his waistband. He was disarmed without incident.
According to online court records, the charge of carrying a weapon on school grounds was dismissed last week.
