The City of Dubuque recently learned independent auditors have given the city the highest possible rating on its fiscal year 2024 financial audit.
The audit includes a full examination of the City’s financial records and is conducted in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
The auditors issued an “unmodified opinion,” commonly referred to as a “clean” audit, meaning the city’s financial statements fairly represent its financial position without any significant issues or exceptions.
The State of Iowa’s Municipal Oversight Law requires cities to have a financial audit performed each year.
