A Dubuque County man was recently sentenced for causing a crash which caused serious injuries to him and a Dubuque woman.
27-year old Kyle Kutsch, who pled guilty in February to operating while intoxicated was sentenced to one year in prison and was credited with time served. The crash between Balltown and Sherrill during the early morning hours on November 5th, 2023 seriously injured Kutsch and 47-year old Rebecca Scherbring of Dubuque. Both were taken to Dubuque hospitals and had to be transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals for further treatment.
As part of the sentence, Kutsch was also ordered to pay nearly $21-thousand dollars in restitution to Scherbring.
