Western Dubuque won the winter Mississippi Valley Conference sportsmanship award for the third time in 6 years. W.D. was named the Mississippi Division winner at the Semi-Annual Administrator meeting in Cedar Rapids this week.
The winners were determined by sportsmanship ballots summarized by all varsity athletic officials for the sports of girls basketball, boys basketball, boys wrestling and girls wrestling during the recently completed winter athletic season.
Western Dubuque has now won more MVC sportsmanship awards in the last six years than any other MVC school – 8 times.
Cedar Falls was named the Valley Division winner.
