A former Platteville school district music teacher remains jailed in Alabama on charges he traveled there to meet a child for an unlawful sex act.
48-year old Owen Strizic is being held in the Elmore County Jail on 90-thousand dollars bond and waiting his next scheduled court date on April 23rd.
According to the Telegraph Herald, court records in Alabama show Strizic’s arrest followed an undercover operation conducted by the Prattville, Alabama Police Department Investigative Division. During the operation, an undercover officer posed as a 15-year-old child and Strizic made contact.
Strizic was arrested March 29th in Prattville on charges of electronic solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act. He was immediately suspend by the Platteville School District and later resigned.
