Starting with the next school year, one area school district will be moving to a four day school week.
At their monthly meeting last week, the Clayton Ridge School Board voted 5-2 in favor of adopting the move. The vote came several months after district leaders started researching switching to a four-day week.
The district has not yet decided whether Monday or Friday will be the day off.
17 other school districts in the state of Iowa currently operate on a four day calendar.
