A southwest Wisconsin man has been sentenced for distributing Meth In Dubuque.
23-year old Hunter Newberry of Boscobel pled guilty in October to one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and was sentenced this week to serve more than 10 years in prison.
Newberry was arrested in January 2024 during a traffic stop after officers located a bag containing nearly two pounds of methamphetamine.
In federal court in Cedar Rapids, Newberry admitted between December 2023 and January 2024, he acquired at least ten pounds of methamphetamine and distributed it in the Dubuque area. He must also serve a five-year term of supervised release after the prison term.
