Southwest Health in Platteville says it has received a generous $1 million dollar donation to help support construction of a new childcare facility.
The gift is through the Kaiser Family Foundation Corporation and will go directly towards the new construction of the new child care center. Initially Southwest Health received a 2.5 million dollar USDA Congressionally Directed Spending Grant to help build the center which would serve 140 children of Southwest Health employees and the community.
The center would be owned by Southwest Health but operated by New Horizon Academy, a Minnesota based childcare company.
