The pilot of a single engine airplane was injured when in crashed at the Platteville Municipal Airport. According to Platteville Police, the crash happened early yesterday afternoon west of the airport’s runway. The pilot whose name hasn’t been released was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
In a statement, Platteville Airport Commissioner Robert Gates says they will be working with the FAA to investigate the crash, to address any clean-up efforts and the public will be notified when the airport is clear and air traffic operations resume.
