The Grant County Sheriff is warning residents of an attempted scam being reported to their office.
Authorities say they are receiving reports scammers are contacting residents of Grant County and identifying themselves as Grant County deputies. The caller then tells the resident they are missing jury duty or there is an active warrant for their arrest.
The Sheriff’s Department says if you receive a similar call, hang up immediately. If you have a question, you can contact the Sheriff’s Department.
