A music teacher in the Platteville School District has been arrested in Alabama on charges of electronic solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act.
Authorities in Elmore County say 48-year old Owen Strizic who teaches at Platteville Middle and High schools was arrested early Sunday morning by Prattville, Alabama Police. Specific details about the case haven’t been released yet.
Strizic has been placed on leave by Platteville Schools pending the outcome of the investigation. School officials stressed the accusations did not involve any students in the Platteville district.
