A Dubuque man was arrested for leading police on a chase last week. Dubuque Police say during the early morning hours on March 20th, an officer pulled 54-year old Murrell Griffin over on West 15th street for a traffic stop. With the officer out of his vehicle Griffin took off, the officer pursued, but Griffin refused to pull over.
Griffin eventually ditched his vehicle in the area of Wilbur Street and ran away. He was located Thursday night in the 22 hundred block of Jackson Street and arrested.
He now faces several charges in connection with the incident including eluding, reckless driving, and escape from custody and is in the Dubuque County Jail.
