A Dubuque man arrested earlier this month with a loaded handgun outside the Dubuque City council chamber during a city council meeting is scheduled to go to trial later this year.
41-year old Austin Goodman who faces several charges in relation to the incident on March 3rd in the Historic Federal Building was ordered to stand trial on November 18th in Dubuque County District Court.
Dubuque Police arrested Goodman after they had learned he planned to arrive at the council meeting to protest his interactions with the police department and other government agencies.
Goodman is still in the Dubuque County Jail on $200-thousand dollars bond.
