Dubuque Man Arrested After Allegedly Striking Man With Vehicle And Dragging Him

A 21-year old Dubuque man faces several charges after reportedly hitting another man with his pick-up and dragging him.  Dubuque Police say around 8 o’clock on Friday night, officers were called to the Wendy’s on 16th Street for a report of a hit and run.

On traffic cameras, Croft and another man are shown in the vehicle having a verbal argument. Croft then is seen throwing items at the other man, and the other man reaching into the truck to punch Croft. As the man walked in front of the truck, Croft then allegedly accelerated, striking the man, causing him to bounce backwards off of the vehicle. The victim then attempted to reach into the truck- when Croft allegedly accelerates again, with the victim being dragged approximately 15 feet.

Croft is in the Dubuque County Jail on $20-thousand dollars bond.
