Three members of the state champion Cuba City girls basketball team have been honored with all state recognition by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association.
- The Cubans’ Ella Vosberg and Ashley Rowe were named to the Division 4 all-state team first team, while teammate Dea Crist received honorable mention all-state.
Other area players recognized:
- Morgan Freeman of Belmont, first team Division 5, teammate Kaci Reichers was Honorable Mention.
- Avery Richard and Rianna Dye of Platteville were named Honorable Mention in Division 3
- Taylor Russell and Hailey Alt of Shullsburg were named Honorable Mention in Division 5.
The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association also recently named all-state honors.
- For the fourth time, Gracie Furlong of Galena was selected first team all-state Class 1A.
- River Ridge/Scales Mound’s Laiken Haas was named to the 3rd team.
