A man who sold heroin and cocaine near the Loras College campus was sentenced to over two years in federal prison Thursday.
27-year-old Willie Smith, received his prison sentence following a guilty plea in September 2024. Smith pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and heroin within 1,000 feet of Loras College and one count of distribution of heroin within 1,000 feet of Loras College.
Smith admitted he worked with others to sell cocaine and heroin out of a house near the Loras College campus. He will serve 33 months in prison and six years of supervised release following his imprisonment.
