The Dubuque Senior Rams ran into a red hot shooting Cedar Falls team at the Iowa State High School basketball tournament and saw their season come to an end falling 71-49 in the 4A quarterfinals.
Cedar Falls defense held Senior without a field goal in the 1st quarter jumping to a 19-5 first quarter lead. 9th ranked Senior trailed 43-19 at the end of the first half that saw top ranked Cedar Falls shoot a scorching hot 76 percent including 8 of 8 from 3 point range.
Anthony Galvin led Cedar Falls with 26 points including going 7 of 8 from three. Senior was led by junior Drake Medinger with 16 points and fellow junior Tevin Schultz with 10.
Senior ended their season with a record of 17-and-7 while Cedar Falls is 23-and -2 and will meet 4th ranked 22-and-3 Waukee Northwest on Wednesday evening the 4A semi-finals.
