The doors to the brand new Cascade Public Library opened up earlier this week.
The new library at 108 Second Avenue Northwest is 72-hundred square feet which is more than two times the size of the old library.
Planning for the new 3.5 million dollar library began about three years ago, and construction kicked off in March of 2024. The cost was covered by a number of sources including about one million dollars from American Rescue Act funds along with one-point-two million through various local fundraisers and donations and another 900-thousand from the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque.
