The League of Women Voters of Jo Daviess County will host two upcoming candidate forums ahead of the April 1st election.
The first is a forum featuring the candidates for Galena City Council on Wednesday evening, March 19th from 7 to 9. The second will be a forum featuring candidates for Galena School Board on Thursday eveing, March 20th from 7 to 8:30. Both forums will be held at the Galena Elementary and Middle School and free to attend.
Candidates will answer questions presented by the League of Women Voters as well as written questions from the audience.

Candidates for Galena City Council are Terry Renner and LG Koen for the mayor seat, Roger Gates and Richard Pariser for Ward II alderperson, Jerry Kieffer and Vonda Wall for Ward III alderperson and Katie Wienen and Cynthia Pepple for at-large alderperson.
Additional Ward III candidate Benjamin Petigout recently announced his withdrawal from the race. All terms are four-year terms.
On the Galena school board, Arlee Stodden, Nikki Frank, Mike Hyland, Michael Einsweiler and Casey Lange seek one of three four-year terms.
