Officials at the Dubuque Regional Airport have received some good news. According to the Telegraph Herald, the airport recently received word the Trump Administration has lifted its hold on a critical aviation grant for Dubuque Regional Airport.
The move frees up 1.5 million dollars the airport had earlier been promised to restore passenger air service. This grant reimburses the airport for money it has paid to Denver Air Connection which last year restored daily service to Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Airport Director Todd Dalsing says city officials worked with the state’s two U.S. senators and U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson to lift the hold on the funds.
