The trial date for a Delaware County man who has pled not guilty to charges he intentionally set fire to a home with five children inside has been postponed until this spring.
30-year old Joseph Pasker of Manchester was originally scheduled to go on trial next week, but the trial has now been moved to May 21st.
Pasker was arrested in November and charged with first-degree arson and five counts of child endangerment for July 24 fire at a home in Petersburg. Pasker and five children were in the residence at the time and safely evacuated. Authorities said it was the second fire at the home within a week.
The Iowa State Fire Marshall investigated and determined the fire on July 24th was intentionally set.
