Yesterday the path for Iowa Class 4A and 3A boys basketball teams to get to the state tournament was revealed with substate pairings announced. First round games in both classes will be this coming Monday night
In Class 4A Substate 5: Dubuque Senior earned a number one seed and will host the winner of the first round game between North Scott and Burlington on Friday, February 28th. Hempstead will play a first round game at Bettendorf with the winner to advance on to meet #2 seed Cedar Rapids Prairie. The Substate Final is Tuesday, March 4th at the home of the highest seed
In Class 3A Substate 4: Wahlert will host Western Dubuque and Maquoketa will travel to Cedar Rapids Xavier with the winners to meet in the semi-finals on Thursday, February 27th. The semi-final winner will play in the Substate Final on Monday, March 3rd. Decorah is the top seed in the substate.
