Platteville Police are investigation an attempted physical assault on woman near the U-W Platteville campus.
Police say around 7:30 Monday evening, they received a call from a woman who said she was walking on West Main Street near Hickory and Washington Streets when a vehicle approached her and a man shouted at her to get inside the car. The woman says she continued to walk and the car stopped again and this time the man got out of the vehicle and came up behind her. The woman told police she ran away from the area. She wasn’t able to give a description of the man, but said the vehicle was a black four door sedan with no license plate light.
